LEAF - Parent, Teacher and Friends Association
Leechpool PTFA
LEAF (Leechpool Events and Fundraising) is currently being re-established as a parent-led PTFA (Parent, Teacher and Friends Association). A formal EGM will take place in June 2026 to elect a new committee and ensure the charity is fully compliant and active.
We would love you to join us at our Wine and Cheese evening on 30th April at 7pm, where we will:
- Share ideas
- Rebuild engagement
- Discuss next steps for LEAF/PTFA
On 4th June, we will hold a formal EGM, where official committee members of LEAF’s PTFA will be elected.

The PTFA is actively involved in the life of the school. All staff, parents and carers at the school are always welcome to attend meetings and get involved in social events and fund-raising activities.
The object of the PTFA is to advance the education of the pupils at the school in the following ways:
- By developing effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school
- By engaging in events and providing facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils
- Helping ensure that the children have fun and enjoy their time at Leechpool Primary School through social events and other PTA activities.
LEAF- PTFA Constitution, which is approved by the Charities Commission, is available to read here
Every parent and carer of a child at Leechpool Primary School is automatically a member of PTFA.

Getting Involved
As a charity and voluntary association, PTFA can only achieve as much as the commitment of its membership allows. We invite all parents, carers and staff to consider getting involved and helping in whatever way they can to help us support Leechpool Primary School.
Matched Funding – Can you help raise money for the school through matched funding at your workplace?
Does your employer offer Match Funding? Many companies throughout the UK offer employees the chance to boost their fundraising efforts by ‘matching’ funds raised by charitable organisations. For example, by helping out on a stall at a fundraising event that raises £200, you could ask your employer to ‘match’ this by contributing another ‘£200’ – thus increasing the PTFA funds significantly.
If you require any further information or are able to help, please let us know.
Thank you.
Our annual General Meetings are held online annually.
